The University is very dedicated to climate action and sustainability. The study spaces are well managed by friendly and approachable members of staff that are happy to help. The main highlight of studying at the University of Bath is the support I received before and whilst applying for placements. The placement and careers teams give you tailored feedback on your CVs and applications helping to make an otherwise very daunting process alot easier to navigate. One thing that could be improved though is the need for more reliable buses to and from campus. I also think the 1st year student accommodation on campus could be alot more affordable.

The range of topics covered over the 3 yrs is really diverse and you have multiple stages where you can specialise into an area that interests you. Pretty much all lectures and seminars are recorded so you can re-watch them back during revision which is really handy. Most of the lecturers get back to you relatively quickly when you email them questions regarding course content or wider reading. One aspect that is a bit poor about the biology course is the number of lab-based final year projects on offer is not at all proportional to the number of students that want to do one. They need to have more lab-based projects that give the students that want to be lab/research scientists practical experience they can use later on after their degree.

I liked that the uni listened to my request to stay on a women's only floor and the green spaces surrounding the accommodation were really nice in the summer. Eventhough the halls I stayed in were one of the more affordable option it was still so much more expensive compared to other universities. The halls themselves desperately needed renovating. There was no real social space other than the kitchen which made it hard to hang out in the evenings without packing into our kitchen like sardines.
