My uni is top quality in every aspect. The union is fab, accommodation, facilities, courses & best of all the eye candy... I currently have my eye on someone at this uni who is also studying history.

The Strathclyde lecturers are second to none and their one-on-one support is incredible, particularly given how many students there are to cater for. I think that postgraduate students often feel more isolated as a result of the lack of teaching and it would be nice to see greater efforts to socialise students with one another and to encourage multi-institutional connections.

My course is a PhD, and so there is not much teaching involved, but the contact with my supervisors has been first-rate, and their knowledge highly beneficial for my overall development academically. As for the worst aspects, I reckon this would be a bit of a lack of interest in my field of study (early modern history) which is often neglected or overlooked in favour of more ‘current’ trends such as health history for extracurricular activities such as conferences, lectures, and presentations.
