The lectures we get to attend are amazing and kept interesting by the different lecturers. It would be nice to spend some more time on campus to make the dual learning system a bit more equal, but it is nice to spend time in the library when I am not in class. The coursework is hard enough to challenge me but I know that I can go to a lecturer to ask a question if there is something I do not understand. I have gotten to widen my views on many topics, both relating to coursework and not by the topics that we study in class. It would be amazing if there was a Student's Union to go to outside of study time, and to spend more time with classmates outside of an academic environment. However, the social floors in the library are still a nice place to congregate for students. The sports facilities and teams are welcoming and there is such a wide variety that there is something for almost everyone. It would, however, be nice if the Sports Officer gave a little bit more attention and consideration to some of the smaller teams as they do to the larger teams. Overall, the sports staff and student staff make the teams as accessible and supported as they can. Abertay University is a great place to study, and I look forward to finishing my degree here.

The Forensic Science course is full of interesting facts. We get to learn from people who have, and still do work in the field, so can give us first hand information and stories. The modules where we learn forensic techniques are some of my favourites. From getting to lie in a body bag, to fingerprinting some of my classmates, we cover a wide range of topics in just our first 2 years. The Chemistry and Biology modules are interesting and support the things we need to know for Forensic Science. I am looking forward to going further with my studies in biology and in chemistry and branching further into the forensics side of both. I did not enjoy the psychology module I had to take in first term of second year. However, it did give some more insights to imprisonment that I had not thought of before.

Parker House is an interesting student accommodation. Flat sizes range from 6-8 rooms, all with their own individual bathroom but a shared kitchen/living space. The facilities were slightly outdated and damaged, but when these were reported, they were rarely fixed or replaced. The rooms kind of felt like prison cells, with the bed in one corner, the desk in another and one window in between them. The staff were kind and helpful but some slightly smaller flats might be better.

I've felt incredibly supported throughout, with fabulous input and feedback from lecturers. The university has a great 'vibe' about it and the student support team are amazing.

I would prefer more online or hybrid, but only because I live an hour's drive away and - today for example - I'd be driving and hour each way for a one hour tutorial - those 2 driving hours could be better spent working on my assessments. It won't always be possible, and I do enjoy being in class, but having the option to join online more would save me time and money
