I like that there are so many active societies as it's a great way to meet people. I also like the opportunities that Kent offers, like volunteering, student jobs, placement years.

I love how engaging the lectures are and the fact that's it's in person again. The lecturers are very flexible with their contact hours too.

Mine felt very modern and we had a large living space. More fridges could have been provided though as we had 3 between 12 people.

The course is very interesting, though unfortunately many lectures are still online. Was surprised to find myself doing coding with for statistics, but hopefully it will be more useful in the end. Lots of societies to join, and nice campus, lots of greenery which I like. They do strike here which is inconvenient, but is fairly common. They use moodle which is confusing but helpful once you’ve worked it out. In general the lecturers are good at responding, and they do take on feedback about test timing for example. They set a lot of reading which seems daunting but for the most part you only need to read the parts which you find complicated and need more help with. Or for revision.

Currently many lectures are online, which I am disappointed about as I find them harder to focus on. They have some really good and interesting lecturers but some make an interesting topic highly boring - something you’ll find most places unfortunately. I appreciate that they do the statistics in person, and despite what some people claim I think it is well done. The only thing that wasn’t was the first group project. The lecturers are all happy to answer questions on forums or in the drop ins.

Canterbury is very international, which is really good for learning about new cultures and being exposed to many languages. It also isn’t too far from London, and the trains are good. The buses aren’t very reliable though.

I’d say Turing houses are the best for money and quality - they’re very nice, especially for uni accommodation. Build fairly recently, you only share a bathroom with one other and the kitchens are big. The location is also very good.
