The student campus is friendly and there are always activities going on to get involved in outside of lectures, plus two very good gyms. However, it is a very male dominated atmosphere and if you're not sporty then it is slightly difficult to get involved. There are multiple societies to join though.

As an art student, the art school has up to date and very good facilities. There is a new library which is huge and the engineering school has multiple buildings which are all well equipped. The gyms are both excellent, one having been built this year.

The student union makes up for the limited night life in town. It has multiple nights for socials and an international night every Thursday. There are drinks deals and different rooms so the music is varied, as well as acts that come for special events. The union also has a shop, Starbucks, Chinese and more that makes it a good place to stop on your way back to halls from lectures in the day time.

Loughborough Town has very little to offer. You'd be better going to Nottingham or Leicester for proper shopping than into the actual town. There are only 4 clubs students regularly go to so the choice is limited. However, there is a big Sainsburys and Tesco and lots of cheap poundlands/99p shops on offer for students.

There are loads of societies to get involved in and a lot of sports teams, from representing the university to playing for your hall. Each society and hall has its own student based committee to deal with individual matters.

Lecturers give sufficient information to pass exams, it's more down to the individual how much they get out of their course.

There are career fairs that run weekly and placement year opportunities that make it a good university to gain access to your desired industry.

Living on campus is definitely the best choice as most of the halls are located in Village Park near each other so it makes interaction easier. It is also closer to lectures. However, some of the new halls are far better than other older ones boasting en-suites and modern kitchens. It depends on personal preference.

It's felt like home from day 1, I couldn't imagine being anywhere else and settling so quickly! It's nothing like I had imagined and it's beyond exceeded my expectations. I really thought I'll would miss home and family.

Printers are a bit slow, but I can't complain on the ICT facilities
