Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (with placement year) - MChem (Hons)

University rating (5)

Good campus and opportunities, course should have a greater focus on the pharmaceutical industry and how it works as well as having more flexibility in module choice only two optional modules in 4 years.

FIRST YEAR

Computer Science (with placement year)

University rating (5)

Campus is great, although has a couple of old buildings. Great student life and night life. Despite Loughborough is a small town it is very close to Nottingham and Leicester so if you want to go out for a night that’s the option. Great uni, great course, but could improve on refurbishing some buildings on campus

Biomedical Engineering (with placement year) - MEng (Hons)

University rating (5)

The lecturing and resources available for students. Especially, within the Bioeng programme having access to almost every facility one way or another. The food prices on campus and when living on campus the limited alternative options for food

Psychology

University rating (4)

Amazing overall experience but with a few caveats. Not enough support for placement students especially if they have trouble while on placement. Not enough dedication is given to the welfare and diversity/EDI sector, constantly feels like students are fighting to keep it going and the uni/union is ready to shut services down whenever possible.

THIRD YEAR

Economics and Finance (with placement year)

University rating (5)

Being on a campus university gives you the comfort of being close to any support you may need and reduces the overwhelming feeling of moving to a new town for university. You are less than a 10 minute walk from anything you could possible need, such as food shops, a gym, a coffee shop etc. Huge modern library with quiet places or sociable places o make studying that bit more enjoyable. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time there and am missing the university life whilst on my year in industry.
