My university experience has been very positive. Welcoming and friendly atmosphere among students, stuff and lecturers makes it easier to learn and grow. Support we get is great.

Uni is often organising events such as jobs fair, masterclasses, webinars and industry talks. That gives us a chance to meet potential employers and enhance our skills and employability.

I love the practicality of our course. We do have a bit of theory but it is well balanced with the practical side. Our lecturers are doing their best to help us grow as responsible storytellers, to become more observant in a world we live in. Also, they are helping us to understand professional film practice and technical side of it. Best thing is the support we get from our lecturers. Communication is always friendly and they will always be there to deal with our question. Also, they know us by names which is wonderful, as no one wants to be just a number in a system.

Students' Union is great and organise a great deal of activities. I wasn't very involved as most of the activities were on a different campus. I know that they are working on a better connection and transport between campuses, so hopefully I might get involved in some of the activities soon.

I live in a private housing with 4 other students. It's a fairly nice accommodation close to the campus. We are all very much alike which makes life so much easier. Our house has got 5 bedrooms, two toilets and a bathroom, huge kitchen and living room area and a very nice garden.

Facilities are crucial for the course like Film. We have a great professional studio, equipped with lights, dolly tracks etc. Also, we have new editing suites specialised for Avid (editing), ProTools (sound post-production) and DaVinci Resolve (colour grading). As a cinematography student, I have a chance to work with cameras such as Arri Alexa and Blackmagic URSA Mini, which is a fantastic and very valuable experience.

Cardiff is a very vibrant city. It offers something for everyone, whether you're interested in sports, art or clubbing. I love the atmosphere of the city, which is not too crowded and always feels welcoming.

Uni offers a huge variety of clubs and societies and everyone can find something for themselves. You can join a sports club (even if you want to try quidditch) or join societies such as anime and manga society, film society etc. There is a good choice!

Support we get from our tutors is great. Before each assignment they offer tutorials. We also get feedback tutorials with each result. That way we know how to improve our work and have a chance to ask for help if we needed. Uni also offers study skills tutorials and counselling. A great amount of help is available and it's very accessible.

Uni is often running charity events. Recent one was when you could buy a cake and all the money went to the charity.

The University has a great facilities for my course. From the very beginning, we are given practical assignments, which are a great way to learn when it comes to Film. Also, I feel that practical and more academic, theoretical, work is well balanced. Lecturers are great, very helpful and open to communication.

There's something for everyone.
