Aston University is very diverse. Just stepping on the campus you’ll be sure to see at least 5 people from very different nationalities. This helps for intercultural integration and learning. The school accommodations are equipped with a common room that can be accessed by students at anytime so there’s always the possibility of meeting new people and making friends. In the school building, there are signs all over which makes it easier to locate the classes. There’s also a study space which is available 24/7 in addition to the school library. There is a career and placement office which I guess is most useful for first years who are trying to create a CV and second years looking for placements. From what I’ve heard, the placement unit isn’t as helpful as it should be which I think could be a problem but apart from that they’re alright. In general Aston is a very good university that keeps its students engaged all the time. There are just a few areas that they could work on and hopefully improve.

My course is really interesting but personally I’ve been struggling quite a bit. Thankfully my lecturers and fellow course mates have been helping me out. I know the course gives room to a broad range of careers but it’s kind of hard for me to choose and find opportunities/internships to give me experience in those areas.

Aston is a convenient place to study with industry experienced lecturers who are impacting industry relevant knowledge. Content of the course is quite rich, as they meet and my expectations.

Birmingham is relatively a safe city, though there is usually cases of knife injuries, homeless people on the street. Food is considerably ok in terms of cost and variety of cultural food
