Close to Birmingham town- access to shops, restaurants and bars. Brilliant lecturers- always willing to help when you need it Students union- there is something for everyone and the opportunity to create your own society

Joint honours and as you progress through the years, there is more freedom of choice with Politics options. Currently in person seminars, online recorded lecturers and live webinars- should return to in-class teaching for 22/23 year with online materials being kept as supplementary materials. Worst aspect- not all options given under the Economics course are available for Economics and Politics students

Close to shops if you are looking for part time work. Decent bus routes and train stations and tram lines nearby for easy commutes. A variety of bars and clubs so there is something to suit everyone

Very close to main buildings as it is all on campus. Washing machines are situated in Block 1 (there are 2 blocks next to each other) as well as the common room which is difficult as the keys for Block 2 residents do not work on the Block 1 door

I have loved my time at Aston, even though it took me some time to get used to a new life but I have been able to learn a lot personally and academically and make great friends. The work can be hard at times but the experience is worth it.

I have always been able to find what I need at the library or in the main building. I don't really have to leave campus because everything I need is easy to get a hold of

In terms of academic support lecturers are there and easy to contact. Besides that there is support from the library with writing and maths from other students and professional staff. The hub provides personal support and advice and every student has a personal tutor that is there to help with any problems.

The student union has a lot on offer and do a lot of things to engage students but they don't really cater to everyone. The events they do and the society support is geared to a smaller percentage of students.

There a many great societies, there are is literally one for everyone and if not it's easy to start one. It really will help you to feel involved in the university if you can get involved.

The course material is interesting and there is a lot of real life application from the modules. The lecturers are enthusiastic and passionate about the subjects.

Very well especially in comparison to my friends from other universities that were a bit worried about it. The placement year is big advantage that employers really like. Everyone that I know that has graduated are in a range of great jobs. On top of this there is a lot of support available from the careers team. There are a lot of events throughout the year geared at helping people feel more confident in finding internships and graduate jobs.

The accommodation is alright for the money, some of the rooms are a bit small but it does what it says on the tin. If there's a problem you can easily report it online and someone will come and fix it the next day, the bins get changed daily and kitchen is cleaned every now again too
