Cardiff is a great place to study if you like a city feel or if you’re willing to emerge yourself into a city atmosphere. Such city atmosphere comes with both positives and negatives on safety and belonging. The uni as a whole is brilliant with making people feel safe and knowing that each person has a voice. The other point to mention is the location, as it’s a city and not a campus this means things are spread out fairly vastly which is what you sign up for. I guess improvements could be night safety buses back to uni halls or taly as they are the main areas of accomodation yet there’s little that facilitates the safety for walking back after a night alone.

I think in the first year whether you love the subject or not is very subjective to your own personal interests so it is understandable if not everyone is 100% with it straight away. However, I think the course gives a wide options in the second and third years to specialise. Only improved if options were provided in the first year, contact time and contact lecturers are good everything is very engaging
