Exeter university is a great uni. I have experienced good teaching, have a great social life, and am really enjoying myself. I have a great set of friends, take part in lots of extra curricular activities and am Loving life.

I have enjoyed my time whilst being in The University of Exeter, there are constant activities from the Student Guild and there isn’t a day which is mundane. There is very little I could say which could be improved apart from in my specific department, to centralise the administrative tasks within the Islamic and Arabic institute and not a separate building which is Peter Chalk, it confuses many things such as who to contact regarding an essay extension. Apart from that pet peeve there is nothing else which I can provide constructive criticism on.

As a student doing Islamic studies who wants to specialise in Islamic philosophy I wish there was more content on Islamic philosophy and not Middle Eastern geopolitical modules. I think such modules should be optional and not mandatory as it places students such as myself at a disadvantage when it comes to essay writing as I’m used to writing about intellectual history and philosophy, not geopolitics.
