Before coming to Trent I knew the city was famous for music gigs and local talent which has definitely lived up to my expectations- there are always plenty of potions on each night for alternative music where you can visit with friends for a quitter night instead of clubbing. The clubs are plentiful and are really cheap on weekdays and as there are two universities in Nottingham it had a really good student vibe. I looked at the university owned halls but found them very expensive considering they weren't very nice so I visited some private halls and found a perfect place that was really close to university and under £100 a week, my halls are in partnership with university which meant I still got fresher reps and was able to fully take part in fresher's week which was fantastic! My rep's were all really friendly and it's such a great way to make lots of new friends, I personally think friends are one of the main benefits of university so getting involved is essential.
