I’ve really enjoyed my experience at Health Sciences University so far. One of the best things about it is how supportive and close-knit the community feels. The lecturers, staff, and especially student services are all really approachable and genuinely want students to do well. So when the work load is quite heavy and overwhelming, they're always happy to help. There’s also a good social atmosphere with plenty of societies and sports teams to join, so it’s easy to get involved and meet people. The campus is also amazing to study in since it’s a beautiful Grade II listed building with loads of character. Overall a lovely place to study!

The course content does get quite overwhelming in the second year, however plenty of resources are available both in person and online to aid your learning. Whenever you need to speak to a lecturer, they are always happy for students to book appointments with them during their office hours.

Some of the best aspects of this university is the hands on nature of my course. It has helped me to develop my practical skills and improved my confidence for my career prospects are I leave university. I have really enjoyed the social side of university, there are sports socials every week where the student bar is opened up for the night. There is a sense of community and other university events such as the start of term party bring everyone together - and introduce you to other students outside of your course. Bournemouth provides lots of fun things to get up to like fun places to eat and go out. I enjoy the practical revision classes and maybe running more sessions a week would be more helpful for building practical skills.

I'm in roughly 3 days a week and a lot of content is pre recorded online. We do have a lot of contact time for practising practical class which is good. It can be hard to balance workload when there is a lot of pre reading videos to get through but I find the videos very useful especially for reviewing them repeatedly during assessment season.

I really enjoyed student halls and got introduced to a lot of people on my course and also from BU. There was a gym facility and shared communal room as well as basket ball court. It felt easy to socialise and my room was comfortable and I felt halls met all my needs.
