The University offers lots of activities for engagement in student life, such as many societies and sports groups. My course allows me a good work-life balance. The University has taken positive moves towards being environmentally friendly, such as through the fact that it has a fully vegan dining establishment. Buses to campus are fairly regular and it is easy to get around campus.

My course is primarily taught in person, with one online lecture and seminar every two weeks. Last semester I had 8 contact hours; this has increased to 10 hours this semester. The assessments are varied and fair. Some modules are fascinating and have very engaging lecturers. I like the variety in the content we learn. I feel that I have a good work-life balance thanks to this course. The readings and work we are given outside of the contact hours are often engaging and are well chosen. The library offers a wide range of books and resources to supplement your learning. Lecturers are keen to receive feedback and work with students to resolve issues. Sometimes seminars can be a little repetitive and could be more engaging, although this is in part because other students aren't always comfortable speaking. In general the communication with the course and in relation to assessments is good and we are prepared well for assessments, although there was one assessment which caused a little confusion for students due to slightly conflicting information.

My accomodation is modern and comfortable. The location is great as it's right in the city and thus everything in the city is very accessible. There is also a bus stop just outside which is ideal. I share a flat with six people, with one oven, four hobs, two freezers, two fridges and a sink between us. It is deep-cleaned every two weeks. The communication from the property management is very good and it is easy to make any complaints or reports about the accomodation. These are generally quickly sorted out by the team. The accommodation feels very safe. There are laundry facilities (you need to pay for them though- around £4 to use both the washer and dryer). There is also an Amazon locker, and you can easily order parcels to the accommodation and pick them up. There are lifts in the accommodation. You scan your student library card to get into the accommodation, your block, your flat and your room. This makes it feel safe and secure, but you do need to be careful not to forget your library card whenever you go to the kitchen as otherwise you will be locked out of the room! This is easy to sort out though as you can simply go to the lobby and they will provide you with a temporary card to let you back into your room.
