I exited to say that I’m reading my Master’s in one of the best universities in England. It’s a great thing to share about the top class facilities provided by the library and the online access for courseworks and course materials. Further, I’m mesmerized by the surrounding of the university where it is located in.

Lecturers are very helpful and willing to help us at anytime. We get standard education from our university. Courses are well organized and we gain more experience through wet and dry lab practicals.

The hands on teaching and the amount laboratory experience is exceptional. Even from year 1 we were taught to use high tech equipment. This allows us to get a lot of experience over the 3/4 years of our course and already be experience and confident when using these same instruments that are used in industry. Clifton campus is very green, relaxing and welcoming. There are tons of facilities and workspaces that are comfortable and help you stay focussed. It is also a very sustainable campus which is important to help with the climate crisis. Some of the professional practise modules need updating or reviewing though. The CV training section seems like it could be helpful but the skills they teach you are really not useful for actually building a good and desirable CV. The employability team at NTU also needs reviewing as sometimes they are just plain useless.

All of the lecturers are very passionate about their topic. All hours have been taught in person from 2021. 2020 had a lot of issues due to covid meaning that all the lectures were online and many lab sessions had to be cancelled. Many lecturers offer a interactive group problem solving session in place of a traditional lecture which helps us consolidate our knowledge and improve our problem solving skills. Some lecturers however can be too passionate about their topic and ramble on a bit about things not relevant to the course which can cause confusion about what we need to learn for the exam.

NTU's clifton campus is a very nice area to be in but the surrounding town is rather bleak and uninspiring. There is not a lot to do in town and the town does not seem very friendly or welcoming. It does have good links to the main city by bus or tram which is nice
