The university is very diverse and appeals to many different learning types. It is big on supporting students and I have found that they are very helpful in supporting neurodiversity however more can be done. More awareness and support should be made available for students who are neurodiverse. I think it would be beneficial to bring together a group to help understand what neurodiversity is, to help identify and diagnose, and to help support and guide students and lecturers. Compared to many other institutions however, I have found that Abertay is flexible and willing to help and provides many different ways to approach and support your studies. The university's studying accommodations, particularly their library is well laid out and can accommodate all needs.

The course hours are great! It allows for flexible study time while also allowing for a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle. Most lecture materials are available online with in class face to face contact time. However, it is sometimes very difficult to get in contact with lecturers outside of class time which, as a student who particularly benefits and needs written communication, can be very stressful. The opportunity for blended learning is helpful. I have found that being in person for classes, particularly practical classes and tutorials are good because it allows for more of a hands-on approach to learning and means that any questions or further discussions can be had. Additionally it allows us to interact with our peers and provides a time for dedicated learning and structure to the course. Having all of the materials available online, means that I have the flexibility to learn in my own time and my own way which I greatly appreciate. Not all lecturers upload recordings of their lectures which is a tool I find very important when I have access to it. One particular lecture that I have had over the past 2 years of my course, breaks his lecture/PPT into sections and records an explanation of the Lecture to upload for studying and review a week before the tutorial classes. I have found this the best method of learning as it provides natural breaks and helps me to keep my focus while also ensuring each section is well labeled and easy to find at a later date/time when required. I have only had this experience with one lecture - I wish more were like this, however most have their own way of teaching which is also attributes to the success of my studies.
