Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is amazing for so many reasons! First, the teaching is top-notch, with loads of courses designed to give you real-world skills. They’ve even won awards like University of the Year and have a TEF Gold rating for teaching. The facilities are incredible too. The libraries, like the Boots Library at the City Campus, are super modern and even open 24/7 during busy times. Plus, there are amazing sports facilities with loads of clubs to join, whether you’re into football, climbing, or just keeping fit. What I love most is how career-focused the uni is. So many courses offer placements or internships, and the employability team is always there to help with CVs and interview prep. NTU has strong links with employers, so you feel like you’re being set up for success after you graduate. Lastly, the student life is great—there’s always something happening, whether it’s in the SU or around Nottingham, which is such a fun and student-friendly city!

Nottingham Trent’s Law course is brilliant for so many reasons! First of all, Nottingham Law School is one of the biggest and most respected law schools in the UK, so you know you’re learning from the best. The course is really practical, with lots of chances to work on real cases through the Legal Advice Centre—it’s such a great way to gain real-world experience while helping the community. They also offer things like mooting competitions and negotiation workshops, which are so useful for building confidence and skills for your future career. Another thing I love is how focused the course is on employability. They have great connections with law firms, and there are loads of placement opportunities and support with training contracts. Plus, if you want to go into something like becoming a solicitor or barrister, NTU makes it really easy to progress with their SQE prep and postgraduate options. The facilities are amazing too, like the mock courtrooms—they really help you feel prepared for working in law. Overall, it’s such a supportive and career-focused course!

The atmosphere the students and teachers create is amazing. Everyone is always busy and happy and loud. Even the library is always packed so it’s motivating to study. The teacher to student relationship that university helps to build is amazing as you really get as much help as possible and build a good bond with teachers. Overall it’s a great campus integrated right into the city so it’s a short walk to everywhere! Only thing that could be improved is the accommodation pricing as it’s very expensive especially now during the crisis.

Some compulsory modules are difficult and if you land on a bad teacher which has only happened to me once, it really ruins the module and makes it difficult to study. However apart from that the teachers always manage to make the courses interesting and provide so much help it’s pretty much impossible to fail
