My favourite module so far is Nation Identity and Power. The lecturers have high expectations of you and they expect a high standard of work. Although I love living in London, the cost of rent is high and travelling around the city can be difficult because of the transport network. The classrooms are too small for the size of our classes and the buildings are often very cold. If you are thinking about coming to UCL then definitely make sure you study and research before you arrive so you have a good knowledge of your subject beforehand. If you can, read some of the research papers of your future professors and begin to think about your dissertation topic (if you are applying for a postgraduate course).

My lectures are very inconsistent; some are good and some are not so good. I was unable to get University accommodation as I wasn't eligible. My course is so heavy and intense that I don't have much time to explore London which is a shame. The cost of living in London is high - it's an expensive city! Many of the classrooms I am taught in are too small and cold. Printing facilities are awful at the University too. If you are thinking about applying to UCL then it is important you show a real interest in your subject area. Try and show in your application and personal statement why you are passionate about your subject.
