The facilities and technicians are all wonderful and so easy to access. They used to run workshop weeks, which have been unfortunately suspended. I think they should be brought back, because it was honestly the best thing the uni did to open up the facilities to all students and encourage learning new skills. Falmouth location is great being by the sea if you're not really a city person. The town is small but busy and lively with loads of events. Student life is pretty blissful in Cornwall. Unfortunately, as I think is inherent of most university experiences of the business that is a University, the communication and organisation of some department has faltered, and the product they sell is not worth £28000. Individually the staff are mostly fantastic, but the way the business is structured has too many regulations and complicated systems that the staff are stuck with bureaucracy and paperwork. The interrelations between course, disciplines, facilities and departments needs improving.

My course got destroyed by online learning through Covid. It didn't bounce back very well. The Uni doesn't give enough money to the SADI school and the money there is, isn't shared equally so my course is underfunded. To get more money they doubled the cohort size without doubling the teaching staff, studio space or technical support. The multiple staff changes have disrupted the running of the course but the new teachers all are doing amazingly at picking the course off the ground. There just isn't enough of them. Our new studio space is brilliant but it won't fit the next year group in so they'll have to figure out a new spatial arrangement. The facilities are great throughout the university and are available to all disciplines, the teachers need to encourage more use of these to gain a broad skill set. This should be through timetabled sessions with the technicians to support but not be exclusive to module work.

I have only had good experiences be it with the lecturers, fellow students or support from the wellbeing staff. The facilities are fantastic and so are the staff that work with them and being a five minute walk from the beach isn't too bad either. Could not recommend the uni enough.

I have had more than my fair share of problems during my time on the artchitecture course and all of the lecturers have been so supportive and given me the platform to complete my studies while dealing with variying circumstances. alongside this the course content has been engaging and very broad, tapping into each possible branch and getting a good taste of which directions i could go moving forward.

the location is good and the sense of community and events that are held.
