The people and environments you’re surrounded by really helps a lot with inspiration, the library is always open for students to use if they need to sit somewhere for a while or to study for as long as they need. They offer up chances to learn how to use new software outside of your course and are always happy to assist in anything you need. All the students I’ve met here have been amazing and happy to help out anyone who needs it. The prices for food on some parts of Campus though is expensive and lacks a lot for people with dietary requirements. Some of the devices take to long for a response or genuinely do not help at all depending on the issues you have and many students are frustrated over the fact that learning needs and help provided by the uni that they are legally supposed to receive arent being given or met by staff. The constant strikes have been frustrating however we all can understand and sympathise with all the staff taking action. I’m learning what I need to though sometimes it feels like I have to do that at the risk of my own health due to some of the issues with accessibility.

Contact with lecturers isn’t always the most reliable by email so your better finding them in studios when you know they’re around. The content on the course has a range of different parts to it so everyone who wants to study different focus points can learn what they want to on the course. The amount of reading material we are directed to in order to help with our studies is really beneficial to the students. Crunch times on projects can be stressful and a bit of a hassle though however some of us manage to get them done on time. Sometimes it feels like there is so much we’re expected to do and we haven’t properly been taught how to manage these multitude of tasks and assignments given at the same time.

The town is small but has a lot of independent shops that sell so many interesting things! The people are kind and have some great character to them. You find a lot of stray and wild animals who are friendly as ever and the views all around are amazing! The public transport can be a little inconvenient depending on your travelling times, busses can come every twenty minutes to an hour and trains about an hour at a time, though there are a lot of taxis if you ever need to get somewhere in an emergency. There are a lot of places to go for night life but also a lot of places you can go for just a meal or to visit for a day trip.

Uni halls are a nice way to allow for students to interact and meet people. In the past I have had a few issues with halls as they haven’t really been in the best places due to my disability however I’ve always managed to get a room and a group of people who are really thoughtful and I get on well with. I did have an incident this year with a student harassing and taking photos of me and others without our consent who had to be removed from the flat altogether and I am still upset he wasn’t punished for what he did. Kitchen spaces are great however the amount of space we have to store food is lacking a little, it’s a bit difficult for people to keep track of their own stuff due to only have 1 fridge and freezer to share between the 7 of us. The rooms are sized great and the view I get of my window is amazing at certain parts of the day the only issue I would have is students yelling outside my window at early hours of the morning when I am trying to sleep as well as being able to hear the wind through the roof when I’m trying to sleep.

I like how open and spacious the uni is.

The equipment and access to programs is brilliant. Sometimes hard to find free space during weeks before deadlines.

Plenty of storage room in the rooms.
