Tell us about your overall university experience so far.

I have really enjoyed my time at university. I have learnt that there is so much to get involved in, and as long as you are engaged in what is available, then you will have a very fulfilling time during your studies. For me, going to lectures and writing my assignments was just one aspect, but it was everything else I was involved in outside of these elements that really helped to shape my experience. So always go to those employability events, try and find a part-time job in your field and join a society you love!

Facilities

How good are your university's facilities?

We have plenty of space to use computers and study, not just in our library but also in other campus buildings too.

Student support

How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).

Many tutors are fantastic at providing office hours to visit them with any questions, and do not limit how often or how much you can visit them. I have not sought any personal support from the university.

Students' union

What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

I have not really being involved in the Students' Union. However I have noticed that there are little changes which have been made by the SU, for example extending the campus bus timetable and adding water fill-up stations in a couple of places around campus.

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

The university has got accommodation within walking distance to my campus, but I live in a different campus to where I study, so I travel to campus via the free campus bus. This accommodation is a bus ride to Eltham High Street, and has around 3 supermarkets and many shops.

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

There are many options to join in sports activities. The university has many sports teams, but outside of this, there is a gym on every campus. I have joined the Avery Hill gym.

Lecturers and teaching quality

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

What I like most is the enthusiasm of my lecturers. Their passion for the subjects really shows through and makes my studies very enjoyable. I would have liked to see more practical training, for example, more sessions on Google Analytics.

Career prospects

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

There are many different employability workshops, schemes and events. For example we have quite regular events with employers from organisations such as the NHS, Northern Trust and more.
