Would recommend this university for anyone whether that’s mature student or someone just coming out of college. So many societies so many opportunities to get involved in, I’m in my last year and still finding out new things to get involved with. One of the best universities for mental health and student wellness, all the staff want you to be as happy as you can be while studying.

Best is the content and teacher as they are always looking for ways to improve the course and make it as smooth for students as possible, worst can be fitting in things around your timetable as you can have terms where you can be at university each day of the week.

Leeds Beckett University is a fantastic place to study because of its supportive learning environment, modern facilities, and emphasis on employability. The university has strong connections with industries, providing students with opportunities for placements and real-world experiences. The campus is vibrant and diverse, situated in a dynamic city that's perfect for student life. Additionally, the teaching staff are knowledgeable and approachable, which enhances the learning experience. However, there is always room for improvement. One area could be ensuring even more personalized support for students, particularly around mental health and academic guidance. Expanding resources like study spaces during peak times and offering more flexible class schedules could further enhance the student experience.

The best aspects of the Marketing and PR course are the variety of modules and the opportunities to work on real-world projects, which help develop both creative and analytical skills. Some lecturers are outstanding—passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive, making their modules engaging and enjoyable. The blend of in-person and online learning also offers flexibility, which is great for balancing studies with other commitments. On the downside, not all lecturers provide the same level of support or clarity, which can make some modules less effective. Additionally, the workload can feel unbalanced at times, and more consistent communication about expectations would be helpful.

What I like most about the university’s halls is the convenient location, making it easy to get to campus and access all the facilities. The rooms are well-equipped, and the communal areas offer a great space to meet new people. There's a good sense of community, with regular social events and a friendly atmosphere. However, there are several aspects that could be improved. The gym really needs updating—it’s outdated, and the equipment isn’t in the best condition. The maintenance of the buildings overall has been disappointing. I’ve been here for three years, and I’ve heard that new first-years weren’t even informed about ongoing maintenance issues. The noise from the maintenance is so bad that I had to buy noise-canceling headphones to block it out, which makes it hard to concentrate or relax. Additionally, the study and gym areas are often not usable, which is frustrating since they’re supposed to be key student facilities. The storage space in rooms can be limited, and the kitchen amenities can feel overcrowded or outdated.
