Wifi isn't great in any halls.
Lakeside is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are huge and are of a great value for money. The kitchen is well equipped with loads of space for everyone and has sofas.

The student support is excellent. As an international student, I almost did not feel homesick and even if I did, I knew I had people to talk to.
The facilities to study outside your accomodation are very good. The library is well organised and my best plase to study.
Lecture-wise, the room are great. And moreover, there is always someone to ask your questions to, you'll never be stuck on a point in your lecture.

There is always someone to talk to if you are stuck, and at different level. If your have one question you can adk anonymously on moodle, or to the lecturer during lab, office hours, or at the end of lecture. And if you are falling behind, the support is excellent as well, with a mentor scheme that allow you to have tips from a fourth year student in your course, and with your personnal tutor, who will help you with anything mental health related to your study.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
I don't love Rootes for facilities itself, but for the community feeling this type of accomodation brings. You will be sharing bathroom and kitchen with a lot of people. It could have been a con, however it helped me a lot because socializing is so much easier and you have always someone to talk to. It saved my first term to find my friends in my accomodation.
And Rootes location is amazing for campus life, near the pool table, the bars, the fab, the bus interchange, the club, and a learning hub. Apart of you want to go grocery shopping or if you're a math student, everything is pretty near !
