The best aspects of my university experience have been the sense of community and the opportunities for personal and academic growth. My course is taught by passionate lecturers who make the subject feel relevant and engaging, and I’ve appreciated how approachable most staff are when I need help. There are also plenty of extracurricular activities and societies, which made it easy to meet people with similar interests. The campus facilities—like the library, study spaces, and wellbeing services—have also been a big part of what makes it a great place to study. In terms of what could be improved, there are a few key areas. Communication between departments could sometimes be clearer, especially around deadlines and timetable changes. At busy times of the year, access to study spaces can become limited, and more quiet areas or longer opening hours would make a difference. It would also help if there were more practical, hands-on learning opportunities such as placements, workshops, or industry links, as these really enhance understanding and employability. Overall, the university offers a supportive and stimulating environment, but with better organisation and more resources during peak periods, the student experience could be even stronger.
Food is not that good
Everyone is helpful and friendly which makes the campus a great place to be. Tons of events for meeting people.
Good reputation in engineering, and placement year
The university environment is very peaceful and safe. The student living team is very active, though all the buildings need lots of renovations; especially, the sink water plumbing needs to be upgraded. Accommodation costs are a bit expensive compared to an off-site location. On the campus, there are no good, affordable canteens where students can have lunch/dinner without cooking, which takes up our maximum reading time. Every proper university accommodation should be facilitated with a proper paying dining hall. Also, the campus uni team could arrange more day trips/educational travel so that students can have some travel experiences with a network rather than just the night juice party!

I enjoy that the campus is in a more rural area and I like the way the Psychology lectures teach, making it more accessible for everyone. I don't like the colours on the lecture halls and the seats are uncomfortable. Also don't like that people use the library as a hangout spot.
Brunel is a great place to study for several key reasons. Firstly, its career-focused approach is truly excellent; the support from the Professional Development Centre and the strong emphasis on placements in nearly all courses provide an invaluable head start for my future. Secondly, the single-site campus is a major benefit, fostering a genuine sense of community where everything is easily accessible, from the 24-hour library to the fantastic sports facilities. This makes the transition into university life seamless and creates a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere. To improve, I would suggest focusing on campus facilities. Specifically, improving the reliability and speed of the Wi-Fi in student accommodations is a basic need that sometimes falls short. Additionally, a greater variety of affordable food and drink options around campus, perhaps through the addition of more pop-up vendors, would enhance the daily student experience.
Brunel has a great campus and facilities provided, staff are very helpful in guiding you through necessary needs to reach your career goal, however only in the case of if you know what you want and you reach out first. The union is not very supportive of opening new societies, I tried to open a Persian society however I was denied help to find members or adversities the society as there are not many Persians in the university.
Campus is really enjoyable to walk around.
A fine place to study but it has been subject to multiple staff layoffs due to the incompetence of the chancellors at Brunel University, as they have mishandled finances.
The location of the university is really good. Everything is within reach and the campus is beautiful. The Student Support is incredible and really helpful. It could be improved by hosting more socialising events for students, and more networking events in regards to career.
The campus is a really lovely space that really feels like a student city, it's fun and there's plenty to do. The uni keeps you up to date with all the goings-on via email or on social media. The resources for my course are also very good and the lecturers are very knowledgeable and care about the subject and the students.
I really enjoy the university campus and how everything is together and in walking distance. There is always things going on in campus. For improvement, there are some areas on campus that are a little bit outdated so it would be nice to have some work put in to them.
Best experience is that the staff and students are very supportive it’s a very positive environment , a downside is the location is quite far
It’s vey welcoming
The best experience for me is how the teachers go above and beyond to make the subject interesting. I didn't do A-levels so I thought it would be hard for me to catch up with other students who did A-levels but the teachers are going with my pace and trying for everybody to be on the same level before they continue to the intermediate subject. The worst aspect of my university experience is the distance I have to travel to go to zone 6. But that can't be improved unless I move there.
My university experience at Brunel is great so far! I am really impressed with the high level of support that is offered to students and I really enjoy all the pop ups and events on campus.
