I've really enjoyed the diverse range of people, academic opportunities and extra-curricular activities. I like that I can study linguistics as a course for 3 years rather than just optional modules as part of another degree. The accommodation is not as cheap as other places, but relative to south of England (with electricity, internet etc. included for three years) it's good value. My favorite things to do in Cambridge is walking by the river/punting/kayaking. Having said that, I have joined the kayaking, karate, college orchestra, university wide orchestra, the union departing society and German society. The student's union is also good for giving the students a voice. My academic tutor personal tutor, college nurse and counseling service provide very good support services. In terms of getting a job, Cambridge has an excellent reputation though a linguistics degree is less vocational than other subjects.

Overall I think my courses and lecturers are awesome- rating them 5 starts out of 5. I enjoy the cafes in the Cambridge area, and although rent is expensive the pastoral support is good. The student's union however are ineffective and not representative.
