Best- the feel of the campus, it’s small friendly a d easy to get around Worst- the SU could host events which appeal to more for a greater sense of community

Best- lecturers are so nice and supportive and answer any queries Worst- the one day a week at university on Monday sometimes can be a waste of a time so time can be used more productively especially with the amount that there is to do

Most- lots of people, fun experience, chance to meet lots of new friends, good price Worst- shared bathrooms, could be cleaner and more modernised, roof cracked

LBU is an incredibly inviting and supportive place to study. Its small size, relative to other universities, results in a very personal experience when it comes to tutelage and support. The academic and pastoral staff have time for the students and you feel like a valued member of the community. That being said, the faculty is often disorganised and inefficient. Personal issues can be solved easily, administrative issues on the other hand are often a pain to work out. The library is also under-developed, this likely comes with the territory of being a small university. Often times the library will have everything you need, but when you find a gap in the collection, it is usually a glaring omission.

I think that my course is taught effectively, on the whole. However, it could be argued that roughly 6 hours of lecturing a week is not enough. There is also a huge focus on Christianity, to the detriment of other religions. This may be the case within theology degrees nationwide, but I cannot say for sure. The inclusion of the word ‘ethics’ in the course title is also surprising. Not only because ethics falls under the umbrella term of philosophy, but also because there is only one module that is specifically focused on ethics. To single out moral philosophy and go on to focus on it for just one module is an interesting choice. I think it would be better to omit that word from the title or give ethics a more substantial place within the course.
