Although MetFilm School does not currently offer specific research programmes, all master's students are encouraged to engage in independent research to enhance their specialist knowledge. All postgraduate degree programmes feature a collaborative research project.
Students must meet the entry requirements in order to be accepted onto a postgraduate study programme at MetFilm School. For most master's degrees, the standard requirement is a 2:1 grade in a UK undergraduate degree with honours (or equivalent qualification).
However, students who do not meet this requirement but who can demonstrate relevant industry experience are still encouraged to apply. Every application is considered on its individual merits.
Students must submit a personal statement as part of their application. For certain courses, MetFilm School may recommend that students purchase or have access to specific equipment such as hard drives or laptops.
International students
International students for whom English is not a first language must evidence their English proficiency, even if they are applying to study at the Berlin campus. For postgraduate study, the minimum language requirement is an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with at least a 6.5 in the writing band and 5.5 in every other band, or an equivalent qualification.
