Develop a deep understanding of the project management tools, techniques, principles and best practices while improving your critical thinking, leadership and communication skills to become a well-rounded, highly skilled project manager – able to drive innovation and deliver value in today’s complex, ever-changing global business landscape.
Regent’s is a proud member of the Association for Project Management (APM), providing students with access to a structured framework for applying project management principles, and opportunities to engage with leading sector specialists to help enhance future career prospects.
Through a combination of theory, case studies and practical exercises, you’ll learn to successfully initiate, plan, execute and close projects across a wide range of industries and sectors – from banking to filmmaking. You’ll explore the challenges and complexities of managing projects on a global scale, and develop the skills to mitigate risk and use technology to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
But effective project management goes far beyond technical expertise. You’ll also delve into problem solving, quality assurance, leadership and stakeholder management – learning to motivate teams, resolve conflict, manage accelerated change and communicate successfully. You’ll also explore the importance of sustainability and ethical decision making – learning strategies that consider social, environmental and economic impacts.
Throughout the year you’ll have opportunities to engage with industry experts and apply your skills practically. Recently, students joined simulated project scenarios with the Global Entrepreneurship Network UK – enhancing their problem-solving abilities and preparing them for the challenge of managing complex projects after graduation.
