Entry requirements

The typical offer for this course is a 2:2 or above honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline. This needs to have been accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in partial fulfilment of the academic requirements for chartered engineer status, and/or suitable industrial experience.

Relevant courses, including mechanical engineering, manufacturing, aerospace/aeronautical engineering and civil engineering, must include modules such as stress analysis and/or structures. Degrees in material science and product design will also be considered.

Additionally, we will consider applicants not requiring the Matching Section under SARTOR 3 but interested in advanced study at MSc level on an individual basis. Typically, these applicants must have a relevant good honours level degree and/or industrial experience.
