The BSc (Hons) Integrated Health, Social Care and Wellbeing has been designed for individuals who wish to pursue or who currently have a career within the vast health, social care, and wellbeing sector. Understanding the relationship between the different professions to facilitate multiagency working in this sector is vital to ensure that person centred care is at the forefront of our industry. Developing knowledge and skills in providing joined-up, comprehensive support services which meet people’s needs has never been more important for professionals involved in today’s changing and expanding integrated health and social care sector. This course has been designed to encompass a wide range of topics including Operational Quality and Mental Health and Wellbeing that are fundamentally important to the health, social care and wellbeing sector, these are designed to be applicable to a wide variety of professional working within the sector and are designed to allow you to develop your professional and personal skills and consider how we could implement positive changes in your own area of practice.The design of the course has carefully considered the variety of professionals this may attract to the course and therefore has optional module included at both year 1 and year 2 to enable you to tailor your qualification to the area of health, social care, and wellbeing that you are working within, or you can decide based on your area of interest.
What previous qualifications or experience do I need?Minimum of 64 UCAS points (160 old system) from one or the combination of the following:• A minimum of three ‘A-Level’, one in a related subject (96 UCAS Points - CCC)• A relevant Pearson/Edexcel BTEC Extended Diploma (48 UCAS Point – PPP) or National Diploma – (32 UCAS Points – PP)• Level 3 T Level Qualification in Health and Social care or a relevant / related subject (96 UCAS Points – Pass [A*-C].• An International Baccalaureate Diploma (28 points)• An equivalent overseas qualification together with a proven ability in spoken and written English (IELTS 6.5 overall - an overall score of 6.0 is required for all the sub-skills elements, with a minimum score of 6.0 or above for the writing element).• A recognised and relevant Foundation/Access to Higher Education course in Health and Social care or a relevant / related subject.• NVQ Level 3 with relevant workplace experience of at least 2 years.• Mature students without formal qualifications but with relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Claims for the Recognition of Prior Learning will also be considered.
