Film Studies and Production - BA (Hons)

Queen's University Belfast

The staff and student rapport is excellent. The Students Unions focus on different issues relating to affordable and inclusive education is also commendable

I love the student life and my course is very engaging! Starting off was difficult, it was hard to make friends in the course but I have settled in.

The best part of my uni experience has been the chance to fully immerse myself in film, from making short projects with classmates to getting involved in local festivals and the wider creative community in Belfast. It’s pushed me to grow a lot personally, especially living abroad and working with people from different backgrounds. The hardest aspects have been managing finances as an international student and balancing academic pressure with the search for part-time work, which can be stressful and sometimes knocks your confidence when grades fluctuate or plans don’t work out as quickly as you’d like. Overall, though, navigating those challenges has made me more resilient, organised, and clear about the kind of creative career I want to build after graduation.

Urm the student union is always very full and busy its hard finding a seat so more seats would be great Other than that everyone is very helpful for any other problems and there's so many free activities to make u feel welcoming

I absolutely love the uni and my course. The support and amount of information for everything from future careers to accommodation communal events is amazing. Plus the uni is beautiful, and the facilities are always clean and looked after. As a student I know who I can go to and where, I feel supported in every aspect!!!
