Covering all aspects of computer science, including the underlying principles and theory, this programme will ensure that when you graduate you will know what is and isn’t possible with computers and be able to find solutions to the problems you will encounter in your professional life.Computer Science with Software Development (G610) is for those wanting to specialise in development, updating and widespread application of complex software.This programme is accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional.This programme is available with either a Year in China or a Year Abroad. The Year in China offers undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLU's BA China Studies degree classes. XJTLU is a fully English-speaking university, located in Suzhou. The Year Abroad offers students the opportunity to spend a full academic year studying at one of our partner universities around the world, following a mixture of culture and/or discipline-related modules. If you wish to study this programme with a Year in China or a Year Abroad you will have the opportunity to apply after you arrive at Liverpool.

If no mathematical subject is taken at A Level, we require GCSE Mathematics Grade B (6) or above and the applicant will be required to take the Indicative Maths test.For applicants from England: Where a science has been taken at A level (Chemistry, Biology or Physics), a pass in the Science practical of each subject will be required.

Considered if taking a relevant subject. 45 Level 3 credits at Distinction, including 15 Level 3 credits in Mathematical or Computer Science subjects.

Applicants who offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and meet our offer criteria will be made the standard offer, plus an alternative offer. This will be at one A Level grade lower plus a grade A in the EPQ, for example the offer would be AAA or AAB plus A in the EPQ.

36 overall including 5 in Higher Level Mathematics or Computer Science. Alternatively, 36 overall including 5 in Standard Level Mathematics if not taken at a Higher Level, and the applicant will be required to take the Indicative Maths test.

Including H1 in Mathematics or Computer Science. We also require a minimum of H6 in Higher English or O3 in Ordinary English.

D*D*D*. If no mathematical subject is taken at A level, GCSE Mathematics grade B/6 or above required, AND the applicant will be required to take the Indicative Maths test.

Acceptable at grade A alongside AA at A Level including Mathematics and Computer Science.
