I really love each lecture, and I thoroughly enjoy attending each class. Sometimes the timetables are a little awkward with my work, but I love going to class. Sometimes it can be difficult to keep up with much of the online facilities and updates and things, as I am not very tech savvy. Onus is definitely on the student to keep themselves updated with all their relevant times and information for assignments and class.

It’s a great course, I enjoy both lectures and tutorials. There’s not much else I’m aware the course offers.

Belfast is a good place, a regular city. For the country, it is a must see place. I would definitely recommend it.

the best aspects of my experience include the mcclay library. as an english student i use it often and the facilities involved are managed well and are extensive. the student union building is also very useful, with cheap places to get food and a bar that is close to my accommodation. things i think could be improved upon is i found it difficult gathering information about university life in general when i first started my degree, and resorted to google to learn what common terms meant as well as things like how grading worked and what a first vs a 2:1 is etc. It would benefit students if the university made all students aware of a master sheet or list of where this information could be available.

in my politics module, the lecturer had uploaded the recorded lectures that were given during covid to the canvas page which was useful as if i missed a lecture or didn’t understand something i could watch it back in my own time. modules that didn’t upload these however and claimed that doing so would ‘reduce attendance’ i struggled with more as i was unable to rewatch and reevaluate the previous lecture.

i like how my accommodation is a very close walk to the queens campus, as well as there being a bus stop right outside. the spar shop being close also helps. all the information on what numbers to call when you need maintenance or security are very easy to find and maintenance are very quick to respond. i dislike the fire alarm testing in a wednesday going off so early.
