Queen’s has complete facilities. That’s one of the best things I’ve seen and I love the fact that the Botanic Gardens is just walking distance where Queen’s sport is located as well. Everything is very accessible, I believe that’s what makes it a huge relief for students. It can be improved by perhaps having our modern student accommodations much nearer to campus especially to those living in BT1, BT2 & Liv Student as it takes half an hour to reach campus, I find it a long distance walk.

The best is that there are a lot of optional modules to select from and it helps broaden our studying materials as we’re exposed to learn other general subjects that were never taught in school before and I find it very beneficial and useful to learn new subjects as it broadens our knowledge. Personally, I prefer online learning as this can help reduce distractions happening in class. My course is taught in class and I find it a hassle sometimes to walk from my accommodation all the way to campus and sometimes it can impact how well we perform or concentrate on class. Online learning is more convenient I believe. The course hours are fine but it would greatly help if the university combines our 1 hour classes that are conducted on separate days together as this leaves us more time to study for the rest of the week. Contact with lecturers is excellent, they would always response in time.

BT1 is very worth the money you’re paying because they provide everything a student could ask for. Very equip with receptions, laundry, student lounge and even the gym. Super convenient. Amenities are overall good and I really appreciate the modern design of the accommodation with our rooms looking spacious and brand new. The least I find appealing about the uni’s halls is that I can sometimes hear your flat mates talking or other noises next door. I find it distracting whenever I’m reading/studying. I believe the partition/wall in between rooms is too thin and not soundproof. Flat mates would sometimes be inconsiderate and I’ve had the most unpleasant experience here in terms of living with other flat mates.

Queen’s is a well rounded and supportive environment. With “top-drawer” teaching and the warmest environment, learning is optimal.

Course is taught in person with interactive tutorials which consolidate learning.
