University has amazing staff and facilities.

Program director is approachable and supportive. Class convenors and tutors are extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their areas of expertise. I feel well supported by my professors and lecturers.

As a British student studying in Northern Ireland, I experience a much cheaper cost of living than my friends who stayed in England for university. The university offered me a scholarship which helps out with travel costs each year and paid for half of my accommodation costs in first year (I got this scholarship because I'm from England). I love the campus and its location. It's nextdoor to the Botanic Gardens but also not far from the city centre - it's easy to get around all of Belfast by foot. The nightlife in Belfast is really good with lots of live music and cheap drinks if you know where to look. The new SU bar is very popular. There's lots of clubs and societies and you can learn more about these at the Fresher's Fair which takes place at the start of each academic year. I'm part of the netball society and we train in the PEC, which is our sports centre with a wide range of facilities although the building is possibly starting to show its age. Overall, I would recommend studying at Queen's!

I really enjoy my course, the optional modules in particular are really engaging and my lecturers are very passionate about what they teach. On the whole, assignments are returned to us quickly and with good, detailed feedback - although sometimes you need to directly ask your tutor for this feedback. Next year I have the opportunity to do a placement abroad. I have 10 contact hours each week but we are expected to do a lot of independent study around this. All of my seminars, tutorials, workshops and lectures take place in person. None of the classes are too big which allows for discussion and plenty of practice speaking in French with our peers.

Halls in my first year were kept in really good condition and staff were really friendly and helpful if I had any issues. There was a gym on site which you could go to for free whilst living there. Other facilities included the laundry room, quiet/study rooms, computer room, bike storage and the common room, all of which were always clean and tidy. Residential assistants organised trips and activities which anyone from the building could take part in. Halls were diverse with lots of international students also staying there.
