The care taken with students and how we’re settling in is fantastic. The range of tutors and technicians we have access to is exciting, it feels like we have enormous creative freedom through all their expertise being available. The equipment in the studios is very comprehensive and we are trained to use it all to a high level of skill. It’s a small university, which is nice because you get to know people quickly, but if there were a larger population of students then there would be more societies and social activities.

I am doing it part time, and I think the content is great. There’s a lot of contact with tutors and technicians as it’s a course which teaches physical skills and processes, which don’t easily come out of books. That said, the academic approach to art and creativity is not neglected, and there’s a good split. All of the in-class lectures and workshop notes are put up online, so you can cover anything you miss.
