The library is great and the lecture halls are good. Could use more water filling stations around the campus (there are only some in the bottom floor of the library). Lecturers could be more engaging. Could have a coffee stand elsewhere

Good location and good night life. City centre is in walking distance from uni. Lots of clubs and societies to join to make friends. I recommend going to student halls in first year as this is how I made most of my friends.

I’ve had brilliant lecturers but sometimes they could be more helpful. It’s important to remember your lecturing to people who are learning about your subject for the first time (probably). This could be specific to my course but I know some people who do computer science who feel the same. Compared to Ulster University who are very good at helping students, sometimes it seems like i’m teaching myself in my course and the lecturers should work through exam type questions once in a while so that students understand the content of the course better. As far as online learning, it surprised me how many maths/physics lecturers couldn’t stream a video successfully.

When I stayed there I was paying £440 for my room which was the cheapest in Elms. I wouldn’t have been able to afford it if i wasnt working along with getting a maximum student loan. There were other rooms around £500 a month which is quite a lot. During covid I couldn’t access the social areas but I had a great time with my flat mates anyway. It was my best year of university.
