Sussex aims to make Clearing as easy and stress-free as possible. Our website offers lots of helpful advice about how to prepare for Clearing with top tips for what to do on the day. You can also sign-up to receive Clearing updates from Sussex. If you register, you’ll be the first to hear when we publish full details of our Clearing entry requirements for every course.
This means you can be as prepared as possible for A-level results day.
On results day:
Log into UCAS
Check the UCAS Hub to see if your status says 'you are in Clearing' or 'Clearing has started'.
Search for courses
- You can browse the Clearing places pages right now. Why not take a look to see if Sussex offers the course or courses that you may be interested in?
- When you receive your results, check you meet the entry requirements for the course you’re interested in. You can apply online or by calling the Clearing team, whatever you’d prefer.
- Make sure you have your UCAS Personal ID when you call.
- Sussex can usually tell you immediately if they can make you an offer
Accept the offer using the UCAS Hub
- After you have spoken to the Clearing team and have received an offer, you will get an email from Sussex with full details of what to do next.
- This will normally involve logging into the UCAS Hub again clicking 'add clearing choice' by a deadline, which you’ll receive in your offer email.
