Clearing is not just about finding a place. It is about finding the right place for you.
At Sussex, you can explore Clearing courses across a wide range of subjects and take your next step at a university known for fresh thinking, supportive teaching and an amazing student experience shaped by campus, city and coast.
Our campus is surrounded by the South Downs National Park, but just nine minutes by train from Brighton and the sea. At Sussex, you get the best of both worlds: a green campus with shops, cafes, study spaces and on-site student support, plus one of the UK's most creative seaside cities close to home.
Save the Sussex Clearing hotline number in your phone and keep your UCAS ID, results and course choices ready.
Research courses, support, accommodation and career options in advance.
Clearing can move quickly, so shortlist your preferred courses and contact the university early.
Clearing can feel overwhelming, but a bit of preparation can make you feel more confident about your next step.
Before A-level results day
Browse our Clearing courses and create a shortlist of your favourites. Make sure to read all the course information so that if you have any questions, you can ask us on the day.
As well as degree courses we also offer Foundation Years in selected subjects, which are a popular way to start university. They help build the skills and confidence needed for degree-level study, with academic support and progression to linked courses once you pass.
