The University of Surrey is committed to making sure that it offers support to students who might need it, so there are a host of bursaries and scholarships available from both the university and external providers. There's no additional application form for university scholarships and bursaries, so if a student meets the published criteria, they will automatically be granted the award. Please check the University of Surrey's website for the latest information.
If an applicant is a fully self-funded UK, EU or international student, who previously completed an undergraduate degree at the university, they may be eligible for a 20% discount on Surrey's taught postgraduate masters programme fees. Students are only eligible for this if they are applying to a 2021 postgraduate taught course, and if they are not receiving any external sponsorship.
Postgraduate fees are payable for each academic year, or each stage of the programme of study. Students are liable to pay revised fees annually for the duration of the programme. Fees vary from course to course.
To help with course costs, the university will be providing all postgraduate students with free digital copies of their essential textbooks from September 2020. This is part of their commitment to making university more accessible, enabling students to learn in a more digital environment.
On certain masters’ programmes, students may need to pay for special equipment, field courses or study periods overseas, in addition to their overall tuition fees. Details of these expenses may be obtained from the appropriate faculty or department.
