The University of Surrey is committed to making sure that it offers support to students who might need it, so there are a host of bursaries and scholarships available from both the university and external providers. There's no additional application form for university scholarships and bursaries, so if a student meets the published criteria, they will automatically be granted the award. Applicants can check the University of Surrey's website for the latest information.
If an applicant is a fully self-funded UK, EU or international student, who previously completed an undergraduate degree at the university, they may be eligible for a 20 per cent discount on Surrey's taught postgraduate master’s programme fees. Students are only eligible for this if they are applying to a 2021 postgraduate taught course, and if they are not receiving any external sponsorship.
Tuition fees for postgraduate students vary on a course-by-course basis, and prospective students are encouraged to consult the university website for full details. Fees are payable for individual academic years, or at each stage of the degree programme. Students are liable to pay revised fees annually.
To help with course costs, the university will be providing all postgraduate students with free digital copies of their essential textbooks from September 2020. This is part of their commitment to making university more accessible, enabling students to learn in a more digital environment.
Certain master’s programmes involve additional costs for specialised equipment, field trips or overseas study. Details are available online, at the course-specific pages on the university website.
