Entry requirements vary based on the specific degree a student chooses to study. For most postgraduate courses at Surrey, students are required to have a minimum of a 2:2 UK Honors degree in a relevant subject. However, the University of Surrey also recognises that many students may be looking to complete a postgraduate course with relevant, valuable knowledge and skills developed through a professional, vocational and community context. For students that fall into this category, a process called recognition of prior learning (RPL) may enable students to join a course at a specific point relevant to their previous learning or to be accepted to a course without the formal entry requirements. Where appropriate, credits can be awarded based on previous qualifications and professional experience. There are some restrictions on RPL for some courses. Students may also be expected to pay a small admin fee for processing certain claims. Information about credit transfer options can be found on each course page.
Full entry requirements for individual courses can be found on the relevant course page.
