The University of Strathclyde is transforming its learning environment to offer its growing student population a first-class institution experience in which to develop, learn and socialise. Welcoming students from across the globe, the university offers a diverse range of courses.
The university is committed to offering students the best possible education. The past few years have seen substantial investment in upgrading and creating new facilities, completely reinvigorating the university campus. A new £60 million Learning & Teaching Building is set to be a state-of-the-art campus addition with cutting-edge teaching facilities and increased learning space. It will also serve as the centre of all student support services and the Students’ Union.
In addition, the recently built £31 million Strathclyde Sport Building ensures all students have access to outstanding sporting and wellbeing facilities. The building includes a 25-metre swimming pool, a full fitness suite and various treatment facilities and sports halls.
The university has four faculties – the Strathclyde Business School, Engineering, Science, and Humanities & Social Sciences. Each has ties to local businesses, industries and governments to ensure that teaching is tailored both to the application of real-world skills for students, and to the benefit of wider society.
The Strathclyde Business School is internationally recognised as a high-class learning facility. It is one of under a 100 business schools to have triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIA, and it was the first business school in all of Scotland to be granted the Small Business Charter Award.
The Engineering faculty is the largest in the country, which has also seen numerous investments in recent years to provide students with state-of-the-art tools and equipment along with ample space in which to learn.
The university is located in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. Glasgow offers students an excellent nightlife, a diverse culinary scene, excellent shopping and plenty of cultural and sporting attractions.
