Read honest reviews from real students at this uni

Our hands-on learning through real-world and immersive activities means you graduate with practical, job-ready skills, knowledge and experience. You could be designing the city's new housing, solving real missing persons cases, or designing your next invention in the STEAM labs. You may be out on the water protecting the ocean from threats, providing real legal support to our community, or improving dental health in innovative clinics.
You can do all this at a university awarded Triple Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework 2023 – one of a select number of UK universities to secure that accolade across all three ratings – recognising the energy we put into supporting our students and delivering a great experience.
Saving you money on travel costs, everything you'll want is within walking distance, including your lectures, shops, bars and the sea! Stunning beaches and Dartmoor National Park's spectacular countryside are just a short distance away, making our location the perfect blend of inner-city excitement and outdoor adventure. Our Students' Union has groups such as Plym Surf Club and Waterfront Running Club – experiences that are truly unique to our location.
If you're applying through Clearing, we guarantee to offer a place in halls of residence (either University-managed or with an accredited private halls provider) or in other suitable student accommodation to all new first-year undergraduates, subject to you meeting the terms and conditions.
At Plymouth, we make it our mission to get to know you and what matters to you. You'll be supported by our university community to really make your time at university count.

If you get your results and don't get the place that you'd hoped for, you still have plenty of options. Clearing could help you find your solution; in fact, it might unlock opportunities you had never even considered.
What is Clearing?
Clearing is the process universities use to give students a final chance to study in the upcoming academic year. The courses have slightly lowered entry requirements, and universities do their best to match students with the most suitable course for them.
What if I don't get the results I expected?
The main thing is not to worry. If you don't get on to the course you applied for, contact our Clearing hotline on 0333 733 1856 to see if we have vacancies on an alternative course.
How do I find out about vacancies?
Vacancies will be listed in the UCAS search tool on their website, as well as on our University website. Although these are both updated regularly, to get the most up-to-date information, it's best to call us.
How many verbal offers can I get?
There is no limit to the number of universities you can call, or verbal offers you can get; however, do keep in mind you can only submit one application, and places can fill up quickly.
Once your place is confirmed, you may need to think about your accommodation and about contacting Student Finance England regarding your student finance.
Already applied for a loan but your details have changed due to Clearing?
If you have already applied for your loan with Student Finance England but your details have changed, you will need to update these by logging in to your account.
Haven't applied for a loan yet?
Student Finance England may not be able to process your application in time for the beginning of your course, but they will make sure you have some money as close to your start date as possible.
