ULIP recognises that there are many challenges which students face when moving out of home and undertaking a course of study in a new city, especially one as fast-paced and populated as Paris. The university works hard to provide an effective support network, available to all students for the duration of their degree programme to ensure they have the comfort and confidence to focus on their studies.
Each student has a dedicated Personal Advisor, who offers academic and careers guidance as well as personal support or simply a friendly ear to listen when needed. The SU website is a hub of helpful information on mental health and wellbeing, and students are able to arrange free and confidential counselling where required, as well as help with registering with French health services.
Disability and Dyslexia Support is available through Queen Mary University of London, which helps students with campus accessibility, examination arrangements and applications for the Disabled Students Allowance.
