Students' Union

ULIP has a relatively small, yet highly active community of students, comprising a diverse and multinational population of learners. This community is represented by the University of London Institute in Paris’ Students’ Union, which acts as the voice of its international membership, and is also the institution’s social and organisational hub.

The SU hosts a lively timetable of events and activities as well as coordinating the many clubs and special interest societies which allow students to explore current and new interests with like-minded individuals. The organisational committee is welcoming to new members, which gives students many opportunities to contribute to the university community and diversify their CV. There’s always something going on.

Clubs and Societies

ULIP has a lively and active network of clubs and societies for new and returning students to join. There are course-relevant societies, social clubs, sports teams and everything in between. Here are some of the clubs available to participate in:

• Anglo-Franco, Arabic and BAME societies
• Art, Dance, Film and Radio societies
• Sports clubs like the Football, Rugby, Running and Skiing societies
• Feminist and Politics societies
• Other diverse groups from the LGBTQ+ society, Metro society, Veggie and Vegan society and more

City life

Where better to be a student than Paris? The French capital has topped the QS Best Student Cities rankings twice and never fallen below the top 10, for good reason.

Home to one of Europe’s largest concentrations of elite universities, Paris has an enormously diverse population of students, and the city is well equipped to provide a wealth of activities and opportunities catered to student tastes and budgets.

Paris hosts many of the world’s most famous and beloved cultural landmarks, from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower. There is a truly world-class variety of museums, art galleries, fashion houses and monuments, as well as some of the most delicious cuisines on the planet.

The reputation of French restaurants does not need explaining, and in addition to this, Parisian café culture is one of the city’s most aromatic and atmospheric attributes. After hours, there are plenty of places to sample a glass or two of wine, with a rich landscape of bars, cellars, and nightclubs to discover.
