Herts’ many research groups are the foundation of the university’s future, and are breaking uncharted territory in many exciting ways.
Robotics and Computer Science — the university is changing the lives of children with autism around the UK and internationally. Kaspar is a child-sized socially interactive robot developed by the School of Computer Science which was exhibited at the London Science Museum. Bold Hearts is the university’s robot football team who reached the Quarterfinal of the 2017 Robocup.
Pharmacology — EU2P is a new online European MSc programme in pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology, which is being designed by the University of Hertfordshire in collaboration with six other universities.
Engineering — Herts is home to the UK’s most decorated Formula Student Team of all time, which involves the design and construction of single-seater petrol, electric and hydrogen powered race cars which compete in the UK Formula Student Competition.
