Step 1: Find a course

Step 2: Research your university

Step 3: Apply to Herts
Applying to Herts through Clearing is very simple. Once you've got your results, you can make an online application from the 1 July. It's quick and easy and depending on the course you're applying for, you may get an instant decision.
If you'd prefer to apply over the phone, gather your qualifications and grades (A-level, BTEC, and GCSE Maths and English) as well as your UCAS ID. You should expect to receive a decision via email within 48 hours, often sooner. You can check the status of your application by regularly checking the UCAS Hub.

Step 4: Add your Clearing choice on UCAS Hub
Having received an offer, accept it via the UCAS hub, adding the University of Hertfordshire (H36) as your Clearing choice. This is really easy to do by simply following the step-by-step instructions sent by UCAS.
Once UCAS has confirmed your place, congratulations, you are on your way to becoming a student at the University of Hertfordshire.
1) Check your emails – make sure you stay up to date, Herts will send you a lot of important information and if you have been accepted you will receive a formal offer before you start.
2) Set up your University Account – this gives you access to Canvas (your online learning environment), your student records and more. You'll receive an email with a link to do this.
3) Look out for your joining instructions – these provide important information about registering with Herts and personalised information from your programme leader about your course. You will be sent an email as soon as the instructions are ready.
4) Complete the two-stage registration process to become an official Herts student.
5) Secure your accommodation – you can apply as soon as your place is confirmed.
6) Organise your student finances – make sure your funding is in place by logging into your student finance account.
8) Plan your arrival – download the Herts mobile app to make sure you know where to go and how to get there.

10) Complete the ''Get Ready to Study at Herts'' online course which you will receive via email.
