A campus-based university spread over two sites, Herts is just 25 minutes from London which opens a wealth of opportunities for placements, work experience, teaching and learning as well as social and cultural experiences.
There are seven Schools of study. Most offer opportunities to work and study abroad, leading to highly employable graduates.
- Hertfordshire Business School - benefit from practical work experience, strong industry links such as Google, IBM and Ford.
- Hertfordshire Law School - experience the immersive facilities with our replica courtroom and gain real client-facing opportunities within our Law Clinic.
- Physics, Engineering and Computer Science - ranked 1st in the East of England for Engineering (2023 Complete University Guide).
- Health and Social Work - a guaranteed placement and up to £5k funding when you study nursing.
- Creative Arts - graphic design and illustration courses ranked 1st in the UK (and 5th in the world), World Brand Design Society, Student Design Awards 2022-23.
- Social Sciences, Humanities and Education - ranked 1st for 'Overall Satisfaction' for Teacher Training in the 2021 National Student Survey (NSS).
- Life and Medical Sciences - excellent research, simulation and learning spaces with opportunities to undertake work placements with leading companies, research institutions and organisations, including GlaxoSmithKline, Guy's Hospital and the Medical Research Council.
