We use cookies for three reasons: to give you the best experience on Whatuni, to make sure the Whatuni ads you see on other sites are relevant, and to measure website usage. Some of these cookies are necessary to help the site work properly and can't be switched off. Cookies also support us to provide our services for free, and by clicking "Accept" below, you are agreeing to our use of cookies. You can manage your preferences now or at any time.
We use cookies, which are small text files placed on your computer, to allow the site to work for you, improve your user experience, to provide us with information about how our site is used, and to deliver personalised ads which help fund our work and deliver our service to you for free.

You can accept all, or else manage cookies individually. However, blocking some types of cookies may affect your experience of the site and the services we are able to offer.
You can change your cookies preference at any time by visiting our Cookies Notice page. Please remember to clear your browsing data and cookies when you change your cookies preferences. This will remove all cookies previously placed on your browser.

When students apply to study at the University of East Anglia they are also welcome to make an application for financial support through the institution’s range of scholarships and bursaries. Most of these are grant payments that do not need to repaid, and are available under a wide range of criteria. Some are offered to all students, others for specific subjects and some for students of a particular background or life circumstance.
Some scholarships are targeted at those who show the highest desire to succeed academically, rewarding their achievement and work ethic. Others are for students with particular talents, such as those for music and sport.
Scholarships and bursaries are often competitive and so students should make their application promptly and with all the evidence that they can provide to strengthen their case. The full range of scholarships and bursaries can be viewed on the university’s website.
Scholarships are not exclusive to domestic students, with international students able to apply as well.
The tuition fees for UK students who enrol on a full undergraduate degree at the University of East Anglia are £9,250 per year. Students don’t need to pay this upfront — they can apply for a tuition fee loan to cover the costs of the fees and have it paid on their behalf. These loans don’t need to be repaid until the student has graduated and found employment above a certain salary threshold.
Students who don’t wish to take out a tuition fee loan can instead make payments in instalments if they would prefer to.
International students, including those from the EU, are required to pay a higher fee. This will vary from £14,800 to £30,000 per year depending on the course. International students who wish to seek financial aid should speak to the university to explore the options available to them.
