UEA’s democratically elected Students’ Union includes PostgraduateSU which represents graduate interests and manages the Scholars Bar, located upstairs in Union House. Here students will be able to get a bite to eat, have a drink and enjoy the regular social events held for the postgraduate community, such as quizzes and live music.

“The advisors are always helpful and ready to help.”
“The student unions and the hubs of the schools are in constant contact with you. They respond as soon as they can and help you as much as they can.”
“The people here are so nice and welcoming.”
There are over 200 clubs and societies running at UEA, ranging from hobbies and sporting interests to political views and academic lessons. Current societies include African-Caribbean, drama, and even Quidditch. And if students can’t find a society to join, the SU will help them set up a new one.
University of East Anglia UEA students on Postgraduate Search say:

UEA is located two miles from the centre of Norwich, a city that has all the characteristics of a 'university town’. With a major commercial district and thriving cultural centre, it is steeped in history yet still a vibrant place to live, shop, and study.
Whether looking for independent bars and shops, or fascinating museums and galleries to explore, students will find it all in Norwich – and for somewhere a little busier, London is less than two hours away by train.
University of East Anglia UEA students on Postgraduate Search say:
“Everything is easy to reach with just a bus.”
“Norwich is a beautiful and full of character city offering lots of entertainment from pubs, restaurants, museums, parks, night clubs, etc. The city is relatively safe for women, non-binary, and people of colour with lots of support available.”
“Best way to describe Norwich would be, 'Everything a big city has, is in close proximity’."
