The University of Chester offers many undergraduate degree options across a wide spectrum of subject areas, as well as a range of postgraduate courses and foundation year options to suit all prospective students.
Undergraduate courses are designed with a work-based learning component, so students develop hands-on skills alongside their theoretical education. Many offer a placement year, or a year working or studying abroad. Students have a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) to provide support and mentorship throughout their studies.
Tuition methods include lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, e-learning, practice-based workshops, skills labs, field trips, one-on-one tutorials, and laboratory sessions. The University continues with the blended teaching approach, encouraging learning in social groups with in-person teaching and lectures available to be accessed online. Full information can be found at the University of Chester website.
University of Chester students on Whatuni say:
“All my tutors are very kind and helpful. I can find everything I need in the campus, the library can also find some staff that help you with your assignment.”
“My final year was taught online. I found it difficult in the first term to adjust to such drastic changes; however, my lecturers were extremely supportive. The teaching hours remained the same.”
“Very strange experience this year as it’s taught online but has been worth it and very rewarding. I hope next year we are back face to face. Lecturers have been hard working and very understanding with the circumstances we have been in.”
